Dr. Gemma Cock grew up in the United Kingdom, before moving to the United States with her family in 2001. Dr. Cock then returned to the UK, where she graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in London in 2016. Following vet school, she completed two years of internship in a private practice in Arizona, followed by an internal medicine fellowship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky. In 2022, following the completion of a Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at the University of Florida, Dr. Cock became Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She then moved back to the West Coast where she worked as a medicine specialist in a private practice in Central Oregon, before returning to Florida to join the team at Peterson Smith.

In her spare time Dr. Cock enjoys eventing with her two homebred Connemara’s Lily and Bazzle, and spending time with her two cats Luna and Russell. Dr. Cock also enjoys kayaking and all other outdoor activities.
